Ingredients
Units
Scale
1 and 1/2 cups dark chocolate melting wafers
1 and 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil
12 large strawberries (rinsed and dried)
Instructions
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining the sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Rinse off your strawberries and dry them one by one with a paper towel.
- Pour your chocolate into a microwave safe bowl, add in the vegetable oil, and stir to make sure all of the wafers are evenly coated. Melt your chocolate wafers in the microwave for 1 minute at 15 second intervals. Stir every 15 seconds until the chocolate is smooth. If the chocolate needs more time, add another 10-15 seconds. The chocolate should be smooth with a nice shine.
- Dip the dried strawberries (one at a time) into the melted chocolate and place on your prepared baking sheet. Once all of the strawberries are coated, use a spoon to drizzle any remaining chocolate over the strawberries.
- Chill the strawberries in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes before enjoying!
Notes
I recommend using a good quality chocolate. For this recipe I used Ghirardelli (not sponsored).
